Don’t miss our May TAHCR Houston Chapter Meeting with Mark Majek, as he reviews the changes in licensing requirements, background checks, and nursing practice issues, etc.
Mark Majek has served as the Director of Operations for the Texas Board of Nursing for the past 23 years. His duties include oversight of finance, information technology, licensing, customer support and publications. He serves as the sole HR Practitioner for the Texas Board of Nursing and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources from the Society for Human Resource Management. He is currently the Chair of the Small State Agency Task Force and has served as past Chair of the Texas State Human Resource Association and a past board member of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. He is currently serving on several state committees representing small state agencies in the State of Texas. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin and Master's Degree in Communication.
